Home of the Desert Stars

This is Auntie

She is one of our older girls, but she has amazing genes that she passes on to her kits. From one of her recent litters, one kit had to be kept, at my grandson's insistence and the little buck won two legs towards his Championship in two consecutive shows.

Auntie also produced a meat pen that earned 4-H Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion Meat Pen at the San Bernardino County Fair in 2016.

4-H Champion Meat Pen at San Bernardino County Fair.
This pen went on to be selected Reserve Supreme Champion Rabbit Meat Pen.
This litter is out of Smitty and Auntie.
Luxon's Smitty at Kleinhof.
This buck is the best herd sire.

Smitty finished the year 2015 with a bang. He earned all three legs towards his Grand Champion title. At the next local show he will be examined by the registrar, get his registration number and his Grand Champion certificate.

Unfortunately Smitty passed away before we could register his winnings. A very sad day in the rabbitry. His passing was very sudden and unexpected

Pickles hanging out with her kits.
Pickles is retired now. She gets to live out her time at Kleinhof.

Kleinhof's Echo won Best Of Opposite Sex of Breed

Another son of Smitty, '4', also won his class, he was sold to another breeder before judging. The new owner is very happy with him, and it tells me that Smitty passes on his qualities to his offspring in a consistent manner.

This is Kleinhof's Star Chaser, aka Bruce.

The grandson insisted we keep him. I am pretty happy we did, we lost his grandfather Smitty, and his father, Echo, shortly after. With Bruce we are able to carry on the line

This is Hagen, WC1, the Star Gazer.

He finished his Championship quickly with 4 legs.

Very exciting to see what the new stock is producing!
